Los transceptores ópticos SFP de Perle son conectores de medios compactos e intercambiables en caliente que proporcionan conectividad de fibra instantánea a su equipo de red. Son una forma rentable de conectar un único dispositivo de red a una amplia variedad de tipos y distancias de cables de fibra.
Los transceptores ópticos conectables de tamaño pequeño reducen los inventarios de equipos de red eliminando la necesidad de mantener unidades/dispositivos excedentes de varios tipos de fibra para reparaciones o actualizaciones de redes. Los SFP proporcionan a un producto la flexibilidad necesaria para ampliar su velocidad (Fast Ethernet y 1, 10 o 40 Gigabit) y/o distancia (de 220 m a 80 km).
Las actualizaciones de red también son más sencillas, ya que los SFP son conectores de fibra intercambiables que pueden adaptarse a cualquier red existente. Por ejemplo, con solo reemplazar el transceptor óptico conectable, será posible volver a configurar un conversor de medios originalmente utilizado en una red multimodo para utilizarlo a través de una red CWDM.
Los transceptores ópticos SFP de Perle pueden utilizarse e intercambiarse con una amplia variedad de productos SFP Cisco o conformes a MSA Pueden unirse en combinaciones de 1000BASE-SX, 1000BASE-LX/LH, 1000BASE-EX, 1000BASE-ZX o 1000BASE-BX10-D/U puerto a puerto.
Los transceptores ópticos SFP de Perle están diseñados para utilizarse con Conversores de Medios SFP Perle, Conmutadores Ethernet Industriales Perle, Servidores de Consolas IOLAN SCG y equipos de terceros compatibles con los transceptores SFP. The majority of installations for single mode fiber media converters are of the “dual connector” or “dual fiber” type where one fiber connection is used for transmit, the other for receive. These are physically “crossed” to match up the Transmit/Receive links. However, to reduce costs, or where there are limits on available fiber, WDM technology may be utilized. WDM uses separate transmit and receive frequencies to communicate on a single fiber strand. WDM technology relies on the fact that optical fibers can carry many wavelengths of light simultaneously without interaction between each wavelength. Thus, a single fiber can carry many separate wavelength signals or channels simultaneously. So remember, if Single Strand fiber is used, you will need an “Up” Media Converter on one side and a “Down” Media Converter on the other for copper to fiber conversion.
